Dr. Plemons receives 2023 J. Lawrence Angel Student Paper Award of the AAFS
Dr. Amber Plemons has received the 2023 J. Lawrence Angel Student Paper Award of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS)! Congratulations, Dr. Plemons!
The award, named after British-American anthropologist John Lawence Angel (1915-1986), recognizes the best paper presentation delivered at the AAFS annual meetings. The 2023 meeting in Orlando marked the 75th Anniversary Conference centered on the theme "Science Works." Dr. Plemon's paper, entitled "Examining evolutionary significance of population affinity from craniofacial morphological features" featured results from her dissertation work, which served as the foundation for her current post-doctoral research. Dr. Plemons will be recognized in next year's AAFS annual meeting in Denver.
