Dr. Plemons: 2nd place award during UNITE Research Showcase!

Congratulations to Dr. Amber Plemons on placing 2nd in the Poster Session Graduate Competition of the 2023 UNITE Research Showcase!

UNITE (United in True Racial Equity) is the University of Kentucky's newest Research Priority Area, established as part of the University of Kentucky’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Master Plan (August 2020) to bring together diverse groups of investigators, trainees, colleges, and research groups with a focus on research surrounding equity. The 2023 Research Showcase took place on 18 April 2023, attracting over 200 attendees from 16 degree-granting Colleges, the Lewis Honors College, and UK Libraries, as well as external members.

Dr. Plemons presented on her current and prospective post-doctoral work entitled "Improving identification of nonwhite decedents in forensic investigations."
