Samuel Koontz

Samuel Koontz is an anthropologist and computer scientist who is specializing in remote sensing techniques and their applications to anthropological research. A University of Kentucky alumnus, Koontz has conducted archaeological research projects in both academic and commercial settings around central Kentucky, southeast New Mexico, eastern Rhode Island, and southern Philippines. Koontz is working in the MOBILE cluster of EduceLab to enhance the deployment of instrumentation in archaeological field projects and heritage sites.
