BioBonanza is a free public open-house festival hosted by the University of Kentucky’s Department of Biology at the Don & Cathy Jacobs Science Building. The event features interactive, all-ages displays that let visitors explore biological research and meet the researchers behind it.
In Spring 2025, HEVA Lab had two tables at BioBonanza, hosted by Samuel Koontz and James Keppeler, sharing our work in human evolution, virtual archaeology, and heritage science with the Lexington community — including hands-on fossil hominin skull casts and 3D scanning demonstrations.
